Raulandsakademiet is situated in the small village of Rauland at the foot of the Rauland Mountains near the Hardanger plateau. We offer modest and affordable rooms all year-round surrounded by cultural activity and opportunity for excursions.
Raulandsakademiet is known for preserving Norway's traditional culture through hands-on workshops. 'The Academy,' as it's called, offers numerous courses throughout the year in a variety of traditional skills - from singing to baking, woodworking, weaving, jewelry making and much more!
Welcome to our teaching kitchen! Every Saturday during the summer season we invite you to participate in a series of short courses in Gardsjordstoga. When the building is in use by one of our longer courses, we're happy to give you a short tour on Saturdays.
Welcome to Telemarkstunet! Make yourself comfortable in this welcoming open-air museum. The courtyard is surrounded by reconstructions of old wooden buildings from around Rauland. This is the place for travellers to take a rest and families to play.
On Saturdays we offer short courses in the teaching kitchen. Free concerts every saturday and sunday at 2pm.
