Exhibitions and concerts
The barn (Låven) at Telemarkstunet houses a handicrafts sales exhibition. Everything from tapestry to herbal cosmetics, from ceramics to rose painting (rosemaling), can be bought here, all made by local artists.
Låven is open for groups all year, on appointment. The exhibition is also open all summer.
Within convenient walking distance there are two art exhibitions.
The Dyre Vaa exhibition has a large collection of sculptures and paintings by the great artist, Dyre Vaa. A collection of woodcuts by Svallaug Svalastoga is also exhibited here.
The Knut Skinnarland exhibition contains approximately 70 sculptures and drawings. Sculptures in wood by Aslak K: Svalastoga is also exhibited here. Every summer, there is a new exhibition in the largest room.
Rauland Art Association arranges exhibitions in the centre of Rauland. This is a sales exhibition with artists from all over the country. You can find glass, paintings, prints, sculptures, jewellery, clothes and ceramics. The exhibitions is open all year. See the web site. www.raulandkunstforening.no
Exhibition, concerts and fashion show.
In the middle of June will the students at Telemark University College, Department of Norwegian folk culture, celebrate the end of the study year with concerts and exhibitions.
The folk music students will hold a concert at the Dyre Vaa exhibition. There will be both traditional music and singing, and exiting experimental combinations of singing and instruments.
The students of folk art exhibit their work through the year. Work in wood, metal and textile is exhibited here. See the web site: www.hit.no
